research on pleasures of slowness, the rituals of taking care of objects and on how we can use cumbersomeness as a design tool, to steer our movements as a scenographed whole. bringing forth four obstacles made to full scale to fully experience and view what the research intended to highlight.

a stool resembling a pleated sheet of paper that I worked on in my last year studying at KASK and Conservatory. the result is a stainless steel seating object, consisting of several segmented pleating lines that form the visualized curves to achieve a three dimensional structure made out of a metal plate.

interested in cumbersomeness, the joy it should bring and phisicality of interaction, I enjoy working towards obstacles that make people hesitate, become enstranged to but more importantly, things that don't neciserally make life easier but rather subtle sensory stimulation on a spatial scale.
beginning with a design of use or clear vision, I enjoy researching complex subjects, working with my hands, prototyping, getting stuck, being lost in toughts and finding ways to bring ideas originating from a dreamy landscape into reality, a fundamental part of work.
caring equally as much about the experience of making just as the result: the conversations, the shared frustration, the coffee breaks, the stubbornness of working towards the same impossible thing. colaboratory practices.
I want to make movements noticeable, the unseen visible, and obstacles worth encountering

about
having studied at the university of KU Leuven, interior architecture, I work somewhere between architecture, installations, crafted objects and tools. often in the space between the practical and the practically unpractical.
